Rahsiaku Kini Milikmu, kata Dato CT.
Ermm, before I start babbling, let me first remind you dat tis' entry is not meant to bash nor degrade anyone in particular.
I just want to get tis out of my system, dats it....
SIMPLY SITI
When people start talking bout DCT venturing into cosmetic business, already back in my mind I suspect dat I'm not gonna be thrilled bout it.
And, I was correct.
Not dat I don't support DCT, (fyi, Im her biggest fan, anyone who knows me can tell u dat).
Just dat, there are several things bout Simply Siti dat i found a lil' offset.
The brand name SIMPLY SITI to me, is soooo daaaarrnnnnn PREDICTABLE. I know that she's trying to carry her own virtue as a brand. But, the thing about putting the name SITI as a brand, it kinda localized the product. People will easily associated Simply Siti as a local brand. And definitely, most Malaysian are still skeptical about using local produced cosmetics.
But dats not all, people who don't like Dato' Siti Nurhaliza (as an artist) probably will not gonna use her product, especially the one with her name.
"Produk apa ko pake" "Simply Siti".....dat'll shows dat one minat dgn Siti Nurhaliza ryt?
So those who don't favor to be caught in dat sitiuation, and to be associated with her, will definitely not gonna purchase 'em.
It's dat easy.
It's not easy to put one's name as a brand. Because it tends to be limiting.
I prefer, if DCT comes up wif other names but put her initial as a founder.
For example, (contoh nya mun nama brand ya L'Oreal);
So she can put it as - LOREAL by Siti Nurhaliza.
Tis is just my opinion.
As lovely as DCT is, I stand corrected.
Tis is Matt Ashkeroth
And I'm using Kryolan's No.4
