M(engada) - Pop

Okay. Honestly speaking, aku minat juak laa KPop tok. 

Penyanyi kiut miut, dancing synchronized ngalah persembahan time 31 Ogos, suara harmony macam Raihan dolok marek, costume macam kain dikerat di Fah Company trus di polah jadi ke baju. 

The reason kenak aku minat KPop is simple.

I gotta admit this, sebab sidak kacak-kacak PLUS very entertaining. 

KPop to me is not some sleazy performances. They are well-trained, in-sync, up beat and everything nice (although they can be nonsensical at times....but still nice).  The performances are darn serious. 

Broadway in a small scale. Glee in real time. 90's Boyband x 10'000. 

If you are KPop skeptics (I used to be one hell of a hardcore skeptic before), I suggest you to at least watch K-Pop Hits at ch705 and try to evaluate 'em yourselves.  

Trust me, those Korean are not the kind that you can take lightly.

Anyway, everything about KPop is LARGER THAN LIFE.

Tis' entry is based on my POV as a new-found KPop fan.

Memang benar KPop is phenomenal. Just because KPop is famous (so to speak) that doesn't mean that it is ADAPTABLE in any given society. Lately kita ada dengar some Malaysian try to harbor this idea. And they form a band just like those in Korea and flaunting the idea of being the FIRST ever KPop band in Malaysia!

And they call themselves;

MAX 24.7

 

Owh... ko bajet ko cute laaaaaaa bergambar muka camya!? 

Siyes miak laki yang kenak circle ya aku rasa nak tikam dengan ketel panas! Yang bawah-kiri-sekali ya tang SENGKOL  jak ku diat.....

Rasa nak datang hulk aku tangga gambar tok eyh!!

GULA GULA (Whaaaaaatt...!!!??)

Siyes dah macam kumpulan dangdut zaman 90an. 

Celah mana ntah KPop nyer...!

Bandingkan dengan;

At least nyaman juak sikit mata kita tangga walaupun acting cute yang ntah apa-apa nak?

The guy yang hujung skali tang menjadi jak acting cute nya (cos nya nang cute).  

Sik macam laki yang kenak circle dalam gambar first tek!!! 

Group tok memang CUTE TO DA MAX laa. Baruk bergambar, blom gik sidak perform. 

Orgasm mata terbalit kita olehnya.

Okay, these two Malaysian KPop groups memang 

WRONG WRONG WRONG  SOMETHING WRONG TERBERONG...!

When they said that they want to debut a Malaysian KPop group, the first thing yang orang akan nilai is OUTLOOK APPEARANCES. KPop is all about acting cute and good looking. Sikda wajah-wajah desa sememei dalam team KPop. Bila checklist pertama gik dah fail, macam ni kah kitakorang nak berjaya jadi KPop group?

Plus, mun di Korea, cosmetic surgery is a normal thing. And Korean gurls sampe sanggup go under the knife just to look beautiful. Not that I'm saying that  this group Gula-Gula girl should go get some surgery laa (makkkkk!!) Bukan itu maksudku... But my point is, the level of emphasis that they put in making themselves beautiful is just out of tis world! So, beauty is such a big thing in KPop. 

Gula-gula? Erm......tang Mangga jak koh. 

Okay before that, aku ada masalah la dengan nama GULA-GULA tok? 

Apa di piker kitakorang merik nama group kitakorang Gula-Gula!!? Hishhhh!!!

Rasa nak ngempas remote TV ku nengar nama group tok!

 Mun ko tek group indie ka, dapat aku cuba relate kenak nama group ko Gula-Gula.

Tapi ko tek group KPop. So semestinya ko nak merik feeling cute dengan group ko. 

Eeeeeeeee....miak skolah tadika di suruh molah kumpulan pake bertandin time sukaneka gik sik merik nama group sidak Gula-Gula!!!

Lemah nyawa ku mbak meradang!

Okay. KPop is not something yang Malaysian can accept easily. 

Why?

1. KPop is not manly  

We need more male artists. And banyak ni jak group boyband Malaysia yang bertahan? KRU? Apa jadi kinek tok? Dah sik releven. Plus, KPop guy are portraying this CUTE & SWEET personality in which NOT our textbook definition of Male Artists. Yes, it is unfair if u look at it from (some) other perspective, but dat's wat the reality tells us. 

2. Malaysian value (real) talent

This explains why old timer like Dato' Siti Nurhaliza, Dato' Sh. Aini, Ziana Zain, Dato' Shiela Majid (just to name a few) can still easily attract a huge number of fans. Why? Because they are amongst the top quality artists. The voice ability might be changing (timely) but the star quality never fades out. 

3. Malaysian are Critiques

The media had helped to educate the society on how to evaluate good-real talent. That is why u see, we have lots and lots of reality TV shows (particularly singing contest).

Akademi Fantasia (now dah 9 tahun), Mentor, Bintang RTM, One In A Million, Malaysian Idol, 

Tiada Lama Tiada Baru (ntah pa-pa rancangan tok!), Audition (yobihhh lamak eyh!),

  Bintang Kecil, Bintang Karaoke Minyak Buruh and berpuluh gik rancangan nyanyian yang aku sik tauk. Tapi yang pasti, rancangan-rancangan macam ya lah yang telah mendidik rakyat Malaysian untuk menilai bakat nyanyian seseorang. 

Yes, in the international scene, Malaysian talent is not as achieving as those artists from our neighboring countries like the Philippines & Indonesia, but our audience do have good taste when it comes to music. The only drawback is that, we don't have enuf talent to accommodate our needs, never mind to fulfill our expectations!

So, these are some of the thoughts why I think Malaysia's KPop won't be taken seriously by Malaysian. 

Plus, aku rasa masalah utama berpunca bila sidak berselindung di sebalik wajah KPop. There's no need for you to say that you are bringing the KPop identity just to tease the audience. 

Just form a group and sing. That's more like it. 

Not all Malaysian can accept the real KPop groups, 

what more to accept their copycat!!

So, berpegang teguh la pada jati diri sendiri. Sik la bermaksud ktkorg perlu berlagu irama Malaysia seranto-ranto. Cuma, berpada-pada bila meniru sesuatu dari negara lain. 

Not that Malaysian cannot tolerate new talents, just that, Malaysian have a different taste when it comes to good music.

Plus, this is the time when indie is such a big hit. So people who're dress down, laid back, poyo, selamba, messy-messy hair macam di rumah sik berisik sikat rambut (Sam Bunkface..yesss I mean You!) sangatla IN sekarang.

To make things worse, Indie and KPop adalah dua perkara yang SANGAT BERBEZA. 

So bila indie tengah IN, definitely boyband angin bayu membawa diriku tok sik akan laku.

Percayalah (bak kata Siti Nurhaliza)
