Bo pep Bo pep Bo pep Bo pep Bo pep Bo pep Bo pep baaaaaaaa!!!
Demmmm, I can't get that song out of my head!
Neway, KPop is now really making a big hit in Malaysia, it's a fact. Period.
It's not just recently, since zaman Winter Sonata gik org Msia dah sakai ngan drama Korea.
FYI, aku sik pernah layan pun drama ya. The only drama Korea yang aku ingat aku tangga adalah drama nama Pheonix@TV2, 6pm tahun 2006 dolok, ya pun sebab aku suka lagu temanya ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=669L2dvS4CU.
Ya pun dialih bahasa ke Mandarin (so sik kira la nak owh?).
Tapi dat tym, kita sik berapa gilak dgn lagu2 Korea, even artis nya pun kita sik brapa nak kenal gilak. Until now, bila KPop saaaaaaangat blooming.
Suma org jadi gila ngan everything about Korea. And it shows from the way youngsters now dressed themselves.
Suma pake skinny jeans, fitted shirt, ada yang suka pake jaket yang design berbelit-belit, mafela ala2 tablaigh (pesen tok aku msh sikpat terimak), kasut Supra (mahal weyhhh, I mampu pakai kasut Gombak jek uols!), mohawk ala skunk ka tupai ka, and macam2 lagiklaa.
Aku sikdalah issues against style ya, ok. Dah nama pun style.....comes and goes.
Neway berbalit kpd KPop tek:
Do you listen to KPop song?
YES. But not to a point of memorizing 'em laa. I know quite a few bands but I only listen to tis' band named 2PM.
Wat about KPop dat u like so much?
Sapa kata aku minat KPop gila-gila? Sikdalaa minat. Just dat, kagum dgn performance sidak. Definitely those guys are not vocally exceptional, pitching kelaut kelangit, mun mbak lagu omputeh nang ntah apa2 di sebut. Tapi apa yang mengkagumkan aku adalah, their performance. KPop bands mmg a very gud entertainer. We can see their hardwork in their performances. Well planned. Plus most of 'em are a very gud dancers. Mun ada masa, try layan ch391 d Astro or K-Pop Hits kt HitzTV, tangga Vclip sidak. Nang creative. Mun Malaysia nang kalah benaa. Plus, setiap show sidak, pentas nang GRAND segrand-grand nya!! Hollywood level, only better.
To be honest, when U listen to their interviews, u'll see dat they are very well-trained. It's lyk, they undergone an intensive scholastic training on becoming a starlet. It's a lil surprising really, behind those cute face, lies a very artistic brain. Malaysian artist especially sidak angkatan baru tok, shud really learn a thing or two from KPop laa. Look at their PR skills. Sak nyaman sikit kita nengar bila artis2 kita di interview. Sik la terkapak2 nyawab soalan ditanyak. Ya pun kadang-kadang merapu.
Cud Malaysia be the same?
Erm, I think our industry shud strive more on becoming as blooming as Korean music market la. But I'm not sure whether Malaysian cud accept boy/girl bands. To be honest, I don't think Malaysian succumb to those kind of artists. Because I believe dat, in Malaysia, wat we seek is more on vocal talents, not much on stage presents. Dat explains why those old-timer (like Dato' Siti, Ziana Zain) cud still easily command a huge crowd of fan. Plus, kita kan negara Islam, tidak molek mun kita ada artis melayu pompuan yang dressed up in skimpy skirt bouncing here and there.
Anyway, KPop memang interesting to watch.
A lil' corny, but interesting.
. . . . .
Tis is Matt Ashkeroth
